Accident Summary:
ON 26 OCT 68 LT BRYANT WAS CONDUCTING A STANDARDIZZATION CHECK RIDE IN OH-23G, SN 64-15189. HE WAS DEMONSTRATING A STRAIGHT IN AUTOROTATION, TERMINATING WITH POWER. HE SAW THAT HE WAS OVERSHOOTING HIS INTENDED TOUCHDOWN AREA, BUT DECIDED TO CONTINUE THE MANEUVER TO A NEW TOUCHDOWN POINT. DURING THE FLARE AND APPLICATION OF POWER, THE TAIL ROTOR STRUCK THE GROUND RESULTING IN THE DAMAGE LISTED IN TAB 2&3.\\
