4:00 pm Estimated time of arrival in Washington DC. Check into the hotel, baggage handling not included due to various arrival times.

12:45 pm Depart for more touring to include:

7:30 pm Begin a Night Illumination Tour
to include the following:

• A walk through the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
  for a spectacular view of the city from the Terrace.
  
  
• The Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial. The FDR is unique
  among the memorials of Washington DC. The memorial is
  divided into four outdoor galleries, or rooms, one for each
  of FDR's terms in office

• The Jefferson Memorial. The 19-foot statue of the third president stands beneath a rotunda inscribed with passages from the Declaration of Independence and Jefferson's other famous writings. Looking from the memorial across the Tidal Basin provides an unforgettabloe view of the city.

• The Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima Statue). One of the largest bronze statues ever cast depicts the American Flag being raised on Mount Suribachi during World War II and commemorates all marines who have died in battle since 1775

Day Three, Friday, June 6

7:30 am Enjoy breakfast included at hotel.
8:30 am - 12:15 pm Unscheduled time, lunch on your own.
12:30 pm Mototrcoach Departs. 1:00 pm Meet our guide at the east side entrance to the Capitol and begin our tours:

• The United States Capitol. (Exterior Only) The most recognized symbol of democratic government in the world, the U.S. Capitol has housed Congress since 1800 and is one of the most imposing public buildings in the world.
• Drive by the Supreme Court Building. Within the walls of this white marble monument the third branch of government exercises its mandate to protect and interpret the spirit of the Constitution. When court is not in session, free lectures on the Supreme Court are given weekdays on the half-hour from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm.
• The Library of Congress. (Pending line length) The Library of Congress is the largest national library in the world with more than 100 million items in three buildings. The original Library of Congress Building (now called the Thomas Jefferson Building) is perhaps Washington's most richly ornamented building.

Day Four, Saturday, June 7

8:00 am Enjoy breakfast included at our hotel.
8:45 am Motorcoach departs. 9:00 am Arrive to tour the George Washington Masonic National Memorial which offers one of the finest views of Washington, plus an extraordinary collection of Colonial-era treasures. Located on the site proposed for the national capitol building.
10:30 am Depart for the Smithsonian Institution.

11:00 am Visit the museums and exhibits of your choice and lunch on your own, museums and exhibits include:

• National Air & Space Museum. Experience the history of flight at the world's most visited museum, from the plane flown by the Wright Brothers to the Apollo 11 command module. Features an incredible collection of aviation and space technology treasures.
• National Museum of American History. This very popular collection tops the list of must-sees for any visitor with a taste for true Americana. See the flag that inspired the Star Spangled Banner, First Ladies' inaugural gowns, quilts, cars, locomotives and much, much more.
• National Museum of Natural History. The Hope Diamond and dinosaur fossils and the world's largest African bush elephant top the amazing natural treasures on display along with a live insect zoo.
• National Gallery of Art houses an outstanding collection of masterpieces that trace the development of Western art from the Middle Ages to the present. The original West Building concentrates primarily on European works from the 13th through the early 20th Century, while its contemporary counterpart, the East Building, highlights works of modern artists.

Day Five, Sunday, June 8

AM Enjoy buffet breakfast included prior to check out. No Motorcoach services.
Options for touring on your own today:

• Mount Vernon. The estate of George Washington. Here, he escaped the rigors of public office and enjoyed the life of a successful Virginia planter. America's most visited historic house, Mount Vernon sits on a grassy, shaded slope overlooking the Potomac River. Many of the furnishings are original pieces acquired by Washington himself. Mount Vernon is both George Washington's home and final resting-place. This Southern plantation standing on the banks of the Potomac River details the live of the "Father of Our Country" while providing fascinating insights into Colonial times.
• Old Town Alexandria. Spend free time exploring and shopping in the area. Have lunch on own.
• Take advantage of the Metro and spend a little more time in Washington DC.
